Subscription & Billing

How do I start my free trial?

Simply download the app and tap "Start Free Trial" on the subscription screen. You'll have 3 days of full access to all premium features completely free. Your payment method won't be charged during the trial period.

How much does Ask Jesus cost?

Ask Jesus offers a 3-day free trial, after which the subscription is $4.99 USD per month. The subscription automatically renews each month unless you cancel.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store settings:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Select Ask Jesus
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription

Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

How do I restore my purchases?

If you've previously subscribed and need to restore your access:

  1. Open the Ask Jesus app
  2. If you see the subscription screen, tap Restore Purchases
  3. Sign in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe
  4. Your subscription will be restored automatically

Can I get a refund?

All subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. If you believe you're entitled to a refund, you can request one directly from Apple:

  1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID
  3. Find your Ask Jesus purchase
  4. Select "Request a refund"
  5. Choose your reason and submit

Apple reviews all refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

Features & How to Use

What features does Ask Jesus include?

Ask Jesus provides three main features:

  • Daily Prayer: Receive a new inspirational prayer each day, generated with AI to provide meaningful spiritual guidance
  • Daily Verse: Discover a random Bible verse each day from various translations to inspire and guide you
  • Ask Jesus: Type any question or concern to receive personalized spiritual guidance and wisdom

How do I get a new prayer or verse?

On the Daily Prayer or Daily Verse tab, simply tap the refresh icon (↻) in the center of the top bar to generate new content.

How do I use the "Ask Jesus" feature?

  1. Go to the Ask Jesus tab
  2. Tap the screen to start typing
  3. Type your question, prayer request, or what's on your heart
  4. Tap Send to Jesus
  5. Wait a few moments for your personalized response

You can ask for guidance, forgiveness, wisdom, prayer, or understanding on any topic.

How do I share content?

Tap the share icon (square with arrow) in the top right corner of any screen. You can share prayers, verses, or responses via text, email, or social media.

How do I change between light and dark mode?

  1. Tap the gear icon in the top left of any screen
  2. Select Settings
  3. Choose between Light Theme or Dark Theme

Troubleshooting

The app won't load content

If prayers, verses, or responses aren't loading:

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Close and reopen the app
  3. Restart your device
  4. Make sure you have the latest version of the app from the App Store

My subscription isn't working

If you've subscribed but can't access premium features:

  1. Close and reopen the app
  2. Try tapping Restore Purchases on the subscription screen
  3. Check your Apple subscriptions to confirm the subscription is active
  4. Sign out and back into your Apple ID

I'm getting error messages

If you see error messages when using the app:

  • Make sure you have a stable internet connection
  • Update to the latest version of the app
  • Update your iOS to the latest version
  • Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app (your subscription will be preserved)

The app crashed or froze

If the app becomes unresponsive:

  1. Force close the app (swipe up from bottom and swipe app away)
  2. Reopen the app
  3. If problems persist, restart your device
  4. Check for app updates in the App Store

Privacy & Data

Is my data private?

Yes. Your prayers, verses, and questions are stored locally on your device. When you ask questions, they're sent to our AI service provider to generate responses, but they're not stored or associated with your identity. View our full Privacy Policy for details.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. Simply uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data. Your subscription information is managed by Apple and can be viewed in your Apple ID settings.

What devices are supported?

Ask Jesus is available for iPhone and iPad running iOS 15.0 or later.

Is the content denominationally specific?

Ask Jesus draws from general Christian teachings and uses various Bible translations. The content is designed to be accessible and meaningful to Christians of all denominations.
